Artemis BJJ Training Camp

Can and many of the students at Artemis BJJ regularly attend BJJ Globetrotters Camps. Those consist of an awesome week long BJJ training camp, with classes from 9am through to around 8pm. It’s a fantastic experience and one Can would highly recommend.

Unfortunately, not everybody has the time to take a whole week off work to enjoy a spot of pyjama wrestling. Therefore, Artemis BJJ has begun hosting a mini BJJ training camp right here in Bristol, to bring a taste of that experience closer to home.

Our camps take place in Bristol, at the easily found Artemis BJJ clubs: directions are over on our Locations page.

The next Artemis BJJ Camp (our fifth) will take place on the 9th/10th April 2022 (provisionally, but that may shift given the current uncertainty about covid, plus travel into the UK) , at our central venue (Easton Road, by LA Gym). If you would like to book your spot (£65, limited places and non-refundable) contact There will be at least 10hrs of training in total, across Saturday and Sunday, with both classes and open mat time.

Instructors will (subject to confirmation) include Seymour Yang (the man behind the famous Meerkatsu brand), Gret Zoeller (veteran international competitor and instructor at GB Long Eaton), Mike Velotta (almost three decades of BJJ experience), Stuart Healey (RGA Bucks black belt), Mike Buckman-Cowling (Origin BJJ black belt under UK BJJ pioneer Marc Walder), Hayley Carter (elite brown belt competitor), Piotr Zawadzki (GrappleThon stalwart and GB Gloucester black belt) and Can Sönmez (Artemis BJJ head instructor).

Tickets for our camps are non-refundable as the proceeds are used to pay for the venue and the instructors. However, you can of course sell that ticket on if it turns out you can no longer make an event. Please follow the Artemis BJJ Facebook page if you would like to stay updated on future camps. For footage of previous camps, head over to Instagram.

If you’re looking for things to do when you’re not on the mats, take a look at our dedicated Bristol page. To get an idea of the camp timetable, here’s the provisional schedule, subject to change:
